It’s May long weekend and even though I eat well most days I was not expecting dinner fit for a queen on the queens birthday. After coming home from a day of helping customers and merchandising at my retail job I was greeted at the door by my handsome chef and sweetheart. On the table sat a glass of Amarone Della Valpolicella and the air smelled of garlic and mushrooms. Within 15 minutes the feast started with 6 perfectly cooked escargot and parmesan stuffed mushrooms seasoned with oregano, basic, parsley and garlic.
Appetizers were followed by a medium rare steak done on the BBQ with pan fried mushrooms, baked potato and grilled asparagus. I envy his commitments work on the timing of creating his meal as everything came to the table hot while nothing was over or under cooked.
